A Piece of Florence, Oregon History
On November 9, 1970, a deceased sperm whale washed ashore in Florence, Oregon. After careful planning, local experts decided on an explosive plan. They would dispose of the 8 ton carcass in a totally normal way - with dynamite! We celebrate this special event with commemorative apparel and souvenirs so that lovers of Florence may celebrate and remember its strange history.
